Since the previous site update, the external timber frames of the dormer window boxes have been fully formed and are now receiving their exterior render. Glazing has also been successfully installed.
On the exterior of the new extension, dark standing seam aluminium cladding is currently being fitted over the protective breather membrane. Inside, the main bedroom and adjacent newly formed spaces are being plastered, with base coats and smooth ceiling skims now applied across the apex rooflines. Preparation materials for the underfloor heating system are also staged within the rooms, ready for the next phase of floor build-ups.

With the plastering drying and the glazing in place, the internal layout is now clearly defined, giving the new bedroom a precise sense of scale and volume. Externally, the clean vertical lines of the modern aluminium extension are establishing a clear visual contrast with the original stone building.
The project is now moving steadily forward - stay tuned!
