Heritage, Carefully Renewed
Church View House required a complete renovation shaped by the responsibilities of working with an important listed building. Traditional lime plaster and breathable lime paints were used alongside careful repairs to the stonework, historic windows, exposed beams, and original architectural details. The property was fully rewired and replumbed, with underfloor heating, an air source heat pump, upgraded security, and new entrance gates discreetly integrated to provide modern performance without disturbing its character.
Throughout the house, old and new have been brought together with restraint. A fitted Heartwood kitchen sits comfortably among stone floors, deep window reveals, and aged timbers, while internal black steel-framed doors introduce a sharper architectural line and allow light to travel between rooms. The completed interiors feel refined and contemporary, yet unmistakably connected to the history of the building.
