We’re back at our Newlands project on a picture-perfect spring day, and what a transformation it's been since our last visit.
With the scaffolding now down, you can really appreciate the expanded footprint and new architectural features that have been carefully crafted in beautiful Cotswold stone. The new chimney stack is standing tall, and the master suite balcony has been revealed—both perfectly echoing the existing character of the original building while adding fresh elegance and scale.
External works continue on the single-storey extension and many of the steel-framed windows are still to be installed, but the overall structure is now firmly in place. It’s clear from this stage just how much light and space this home will soon enjoy.
Internally, the ground floor has been fully screeded, and insulation works to the roof and walls are complete. Plasterboarding is progressing rapidly across what is now an impressively expansive interior. With its flowing layout and beautiful craftsmanship, it’s easy to see this is going to be a truly remarkable home once complete.
There’s still plenty to do, but milestones like this are always worth pausing to admire. We’re incredibly proud of the progress here and can’t wait to share more as this dream home continues to come to life.
