A large number of talented professionals consider themselves part of Clarke Construction Group. Excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential for all candidates.

We operate across the North Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, and Gloucestershire—often in areas with limited public transportation—therefore, a full driving licence is mandatory for all positions.

All roles are full-time with immediate starts unless otherwise stated. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with optional weekend work. Salaries are dependent on experience and paid weekly.

Carpenter

Job Description

We seek an experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic team, working on diverse and prestigious properties throughout the Cotswolds.

Main Activities and Duties

  • Perform first and second fix carpentry
  • External cladding installation
  • Fit external and internal doors/windows
  • Optional experience in cut roofs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years carpentry experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong teamwork abilities

Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across diverse projects in the Cotswolds. Company vehicle provided.

Main Activities and Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes and safety standards
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and accurately
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Collaborate with team members and other trades to complete projects promptly
  • Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety
  • Maintain precise records of materials used and work conducted

Requirements

  • At least 3 years' electrical experience preferred
  • Valid electrician's licence or relevant certification
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

General Builder

Main Activities and Duties

  • Execute projects according to architectural plans
  • Collaborate with various trades and subcontractors
  • Identify and resolve on-site challenges efficiently
  • Maintain a safe, organized worksite
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely

Requirements

  • Solid construction knowledge and experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

General Labourer

We require a skilled Labourer for diverse projects within 20 miles of Moreton-in-Marsh.

Main Activities and Duties

  • Site preparation and maintenance
  • Assisting tradespeople with various tasks
  • Handling building materials and equipment safely

Requirements

  • At least 2 years' construction industry experience

Plumber

A skilled Plumber is required to deliver high-quality plumbing solutions on diverse residential projects. Company vehicle provided.

Main Activities and Duties

  • Cover comprehensive plumbing installations and repairs
  • Optionally price plumbing elements and design systems
  • Coordinate effectively with team members

Requirements

  • At least 3 years' plumbing experience
  • Relevant plumbing qualifications
  • Gas Safe and/or OFTEC registration advantageous

Quantity Surveyor

An exciting role for an experienced Quantity Surveyor managing diverse projects across the Cotswolds.

Main Activities and Duties

  • Measure projects using Building M&E schedules
  • Manage and price contracts (time/materials)
  • Oversee subcontractors
  • Assist with Bills of Quantities, valuations, and variations
  • Client liaison, contract reviews, and dispute resolution
  • Support project managers with specifications and final negotiations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' surveying experience
