An elegant and expertly crafted addition to a luxury holiday retreat, combining bespoke oak joinery, wellness spaces, and refined guest accommodation in the heart of Sezincote.

Expanding the Experience

At The White House, a beautiful rural holiday let set in the Cotswolds, Clarke Construction Group was commissioned to construct a set of new facilities that would enhance the guest experience without compromising the charm of the existing setting. The centrepiece is a brand-new guest annex — a two-bedroom standalone structure built from the ground up.

The front elevation of this annex features a striking glazed oak façade, with all timber elements, including the structural frame, doors, and window sets, produced by our in-house joinery. Inside, the annex is fully self-contained with underfloor heating, bespoke bathrooms, and a high-end finish, offering guests a luxurious space to stay that feels entirely part of the original estate.

Beautifully balanced between craftsmanship and comfort, The White House project is a showcase of how thoughtful additions can elevate a property’s offering without losing its identity.

Wellness and Welcome

Just beyond the annex, the property’s detached garage was transformed into a private gym. Here, too, our joinery team played a central role — crafting bespoke internal and external doors to match the annex and blend seamlessly with the wider estate aesthetic. At the rear of this converted space, a new extension was built to house a spa-style treatment room, bringing an additional dimension of wellness to the retreat.

These spaces, like the annex, benefit from full plumbing and electrics, underfloor heating, and bespoke interior finishes that reflect the care and quality applied across the entire project.

Built for Tranquility

To ensure the new structures delivered not just luxury, but also comfort and privacy, we constructed a substantial block and dry stone wall between the guest facilities and the road. Designed to reduce noise intrusion and blend naturally with the landscape, this wall adds both acoustic protection and visual charm.

The final stage of the project included installation of a new sewage treatment system, full drainage works, and soft landscaping to tie every element together. The result is a serene, high-end extension to an already beautiful property — now elevated with versatile spaces ready to welcome guests in style.

Before/After

What began as a simple garage and an open plot of land has evolved into a refined extension of The White House's holiday offering. The transformation includes a beautifully detailed guest annex and a full wellness suite, turning previously underused spaces into sought-after features. With bespoke joinery, spa facilities, and seamless landscaping, the additions now sit naturally within the estate — enhancing its appeal, function, and value in every sense.
