Heritage Reimagined

The Georgian Rectory is a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian home nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds. This extensive renovation project encompassed every inch of the property — a full top-to-bottom transformation that blended conservation expertise with considered modern upgrades. Our works included full-scale redecoration, updated plumbing and electrics throughout, repairs to historic features, and reconfiguration of various internal spaces to suit the client’s needs.

One of the centrepieces of the renovation is the bespoke single-storey kitchen extension: a glass-fronted, Cotswold stone structure filled with light and warmth. Custom cabinetry, marble worktops, and slim-framed glazing come together to create a space that’s both contemporary and timeless, allowing modern family life to unfold comfortably within the context of a historic building.

Project Statement

A project that respects the past while embracing the present — a seamless fusion of heritage character and luxurious modern living.

Craftsmanship Through Every Room

Inside, every room was individually considered and designed. Living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms were brought to life with calming palettes, carefully restored cornicing, and elegant finishes. From utility rooms and stairwells to the loft space and attic conversion, no part of the Georgian Rectory was untouched. Our joinery team and specialist trades delivered exceptional detailing — from the finishing of the original woodwork to the integration of modern fixtures in sensitive areas.

The result is a house that retains its soul while offering all the comfort and practicality of a new build. A true celebration of craftsmanship and planning.

Clarke Construction delivered an exceptional result. Their attention to detail was second to none. From the main house to the pool and outdoor spaces, every part of the project was handled with care and professionalism. We’re thrilled with the final result.
